Rotary District 9212 Strengthens Impact Through Rotary Action Groups, Fellowships
Rotary District 9212 continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact through active engagement with Rotary Action Groups (RAGs) and Rotary Fellowships—global platforms that bring together expertise, passion, and connection within the Rotary family.

Rotary International currently supports over 25 RAGs and more than 100 Rotary Fellowships worldwide, creating a powerful ecosystem that combines technical knowledge and meaningful engagement. While RAGs provide specialized expertise to support high-impact service initiatives, Fellowships foster friendship and global networking—together enabling Rotary to deliver sustainable impact at scale.

Within the District, this vision is steadily taking shape. Rotarians from across District 9212 joined District Governor Wairimu Njage in formalizing partnerships with key groups including the Rotary Fellowship for Empowering Women (RFEW), the Rotary Action Group for Mental Health Initiatives (RAGMHI), the Rotary Action Group for Family Health and AIDS Prevention (RFHA), the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI), and the Rotary Fellowship for Tea Lovers.

Beyond these milestones, the District has mapped a growing network of 15 Rotary Action Groups and Fellowships, reflecting the diversity of interests and service opportunities available to members. These include the International Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians (IGFR), the Rotary Action Group for Community Economic Development (RAGCED), the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG), the Wine Fellowship, and initiatives focused on Maternal Health and Nutrition, among others.

This growing ecosystem presents an exciting opportunity for Rotarians and Rotaractors to connect, collaborate, and contribute—both locally and globally—while strengthening Rotary’s impact across all areas of service.

As RAGs and Fellowships engage in programmatic work, they may collaborate with corporate and institutional partners within Kenya and across the District—many of whom are also valued partners within Rotary’s club and district initiatives.

In this regard, members are encouraged to ensure that engagements are undertaken in a spirit of collaboration and complementarity and existing Rotary relationships are respected and strengthened.

Participation in RAGs and Fellowships is a meaningful extension of the Rotary experience. As such, members are encouraged to maintain good standing within their Rotary or Rotaract Clubs, continue to actively support club activities and commitments and engage in a manner that reflects Rotary’s values, ethics, and professionalism.

Rotary Action Groups and Fellowships operate as independent partners within the Rotary ecosystem, working alongside clubs and districts to advance shared goals. Partners, Rotarians and Rotaractors interested in establishing a Rotary Action Group or Fellowship within District 9212, may contact Rotarian Yeddah B. Machage +254 722 464 303.
